EXCLUSION TIME

HOT TOPIC EXCLUSION:


HB 1627 that was introduced to help combat a hot topic item that the Arkansas Department of Finance’s position on dues to places of amusement.


The past couple of years DFA has been taxing hunting/fishing club dues as taxable as they were admissions to “places of amusement”. This has been disconcerting to those who have the clubs as the look back period was six years as they had never reported gross receipts tax.


HB 1627 as introduced by Representative Jeremiah Moore and Representative Ricky Hill, will exclude those dues as taxable.
